CONCLUSION FOR OUR BLOG~~

In conclusion, the concept of 1Malaysia is a universal concept. As the main objective of this concept is to unite all races in Malaysia, the 1Malaysia concept can be implemented in all aspects of lives. As been mentioned earlier, sports in Malaysia have also implementing the concept, same goes with music, food, education and much more.

Unity as envisioned through the 1Malaysia concept varies greatly from the assimilation concept practiced in other countries where the ethnic identities are wiped out and replaced with one homogeneous national identity.

On the other hand 1Malaysia values and respects the ethnic identities of each community in Malaysia, and proudly regards them as an asset or advantage. 1Malaysia underlines the value of "Acceptance" amongst its multi-racial people, where one race embraces the uniqueness of other races so that we may live with mutual respect for each other as a nation.

In short, the concept of 1Malaysia has been accepted by Malaysia as it gives and underlines the value of acceptance among all. Yet, there are still some negative feedbacks received on the concept. Therefore the concept is still being construct for all Malaysian to accept.

1Malaysia's Success Depend On How Ethnic Interests are Addressed

The 1Malaysia Foundation(Yayasan 1Malaysia) has proposed to be implemented to achieve a balance between ethnicity and economic prosperity, in line with the 1Malaysia concept. Among the five steps are:

First: Observe the equilibrium establish in Federal Constitution between "special position"
and "interests of right as other community".

Second: Refer, the concept first New Economic Policy (NEP), to eradicate poverty regardless of ethnicity.

Third: NEP second goal, to reduce the economic function based on ethnic identification.

Fourth: Abuse of power and greed at all levels of society.

Fifth: Media practitioners, politicians, bureaucrats, businessmen and anyone who has strong influence in the community should be encourageed to view issue of ethnicity in relevance to the economy from a more holistic perspektive.

Trusstees Chairman Dr. Chandra Muzaffar said, How the importance of ethnic issues addressed in the economic and social development will be key to determining success and failure of 1Malaysia.

(www.bernama.com) Dec 17 2009...

In my opinian, First step is indeed necessary viewed critically because according to the Federal Constitution the malay only are given more priority than other races, this will create the perception of other people the government be favoritism..this step is not to change the constitution but to improve as people age independence era and globalization mentality is different.
While, second and third step is most important because asset in developing countries to achieve a balance between ethnicity.

Speech by Lim Kit Siang at the opening of the new RM800,000 Kuching DAP premises at Jalan Abang Abdul Rahim, Kuching on Monday, 8th March 2010 at 10 am:

Najib losing battle for 1Malaysia when a rational and level-headed Umno leader like Second Finance Minister Husni could make a racist remark when he is under influence of Penang UMNO
The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak is fighting a losing battle for his 1Malaysia slogan and concept when a rational and level-headed Umno leader like the Second Finance Minister Datuk Ahmad Husni Mohd Hanadzlah could make a racist remark when he is under the influence of Penang Umno.
DAP MP for Jelutong Jeff Ooi has asked Husni to apologise for making a racist remark at a dinner organized by the Penang Malay Chamber of Commerce on Friday, where he said: “Kalau orang Cina di Pulau Pinang buli kita, kita lawan balik orang Cina”.
Husni’s racist remark was reported in the evening edition of the Penang papers on Saturday night but it was taken out in the morning editions of the Sunday papers.
Although this racist Husni remark has been denied, it had been caught on tape.
I am very surprised as DAP MPs have always found Husni as a very rational, level-headed and reasonable Deputy Minister and since Najib’s elevation as Prime Minister last April, as Second Finance Minister, and we find it most shocking that he could have uttered such a racially-laden statement, which runs counter to what Najib’s 1Malaysia represents.
The question all Malaysians must ponder is why a usually rational, level-headed and reasonable Umno leader who is very moderate in his views could make such a racist remark completely of his character?
The only explanation is that when Husni went to Penang, he was influenced by the sustained hate campaign of UMNO Penang exploiting the “race and religion” card falsely painting Penang Chief Minister and Pakatan Rakyat Penang State Government as anti-Malay and anti-Islam.
As a moderate Umno leader, Husni should be exercising restraint and check on the irresponsible and seditious campaign by Penang Umno, which took full advantage of Umno-controlled media like Utusan Malaysia and Berita Harian, making a total mockery of Najib’s 1Malaysia campaign – and not to succumb to the Penang Umno virus as to condone and even to aid and abet such an irresponsible and seditious campaign of hate and racism.
When moderate UMNO leaders like Husni could lose their moderate bearings when in the Penang Umno milieu of hate politics, what hope and future is there for Najib’s 1Malaysia slogan and concept?

POLITICAL

May I take this opportunity to remind you that you have called yourself the 1-Malaysia Prime Minister. I have no qualms in admitting that it’s a good slogan. To be frank I thought it was almost a perfect one.

Partisan sentiment asides, no one in his or her right frame of mind should ever entertain to reject it. But beyond rhetoric, you have now turned into an exact anti-thesis of anything except 1- Malaysia. That has become very distressing and indeed extremely deplorable.

It would be very mean and unfair, to remind that you are the only Prime Minister in our political history that came into office carrying huge political baggage that might have disqualified you and derailed your dream of becoming the Right Honourable PM. Despite the onerous odds, you escaped and scrapped through.

Mind you, those nightmares may have faded for now but much as you wish, it couldn’t be buried forever.

But you had all the chance to be putting right all the many wrongs of your own or party’s ‘sins of omission and commissions’. It has gone past 9 months since you took the helm, the nation is wary and everyone is asking, where is the 1-Malaysia?

You shouldn’t need reminding that rhetoric without substance breeds contempt and distrust. You are dangerously treading the path of your immediate predecessor.

Much worse, you are now perceived as even weaker and perpetuating the legacy of lost opportunity by your unending flip-flopping in the typical fashion of the party you now lead.

What is ailing you Mr PM?

Did you not have the chance to correct the many years of BN’s usurpation of contractual rights of the people of Kelantan by negating the agreement between Kelantan government and Petronas? You didn’t!

The people of Sabah and Sarawak now wonder if the corresponding ‘Vesting Deed’ by which they vested all their rights in their petroleum resources to Petronas will remain in force, once a regime change happens in East Malaysia.

You betray a very poor understanding of the ‘sanctity of contract’ and the practice of Federalism. Against this political decision, your continuous sloganeering of 1-Malaysia seems shallow and remotely caring.

Did you not have the chance to equally denounce and revamp the BTN’s overly ‘racist-indoctrination-propaganda’ on Malay supremacy, as to provide nation-rebuilding and your 1- Malaysia a chance? Again you didn’t! It’s very scary imagining the people you actually listened to.

Did you not witness for yourself of how ‘lawlessness’ in the judiciary has become the norm and the nation quickly degenerating into Uganda and Zimbabwe? Constant overturning of judgments by superior courts smacked of unending Executive interference.

Did you not have the chance to cleanup the rot in the Judiciary after the ceaseless assault by the Executive? You had the chance but you didn’t!

You liberalised the service sector to provide the nation a chance to rekindle our nation’s competitiveness. It was quite commendable. You equally have the chance to prevent and pluck all holes of leakages by stopping abuse of power, corruption and cronyism to truly boost our competitiveness. Oddly, why didn’t you! Your selective amnesia seems baffling.

Matrade convention contract award stood as a landmark testimony to all your performance-first empty-rhetoric. Apprehending small fries in the PKFZ-mother-of-all-scandal and allowing sharks to roam freely in Malaysian murky waters doesn’t augur well and at loggerheads with the effort to stamp off corruption, reminiscent of the earlier half hearted-war on corruption.

Now you have the chance to evade the looming battle on the usage of the name of Allah by adherents of other faiths. Very regrettably you don’t until it now has escalated to arson attack on 10 places of worships of the Christians and Sikhs?

Quite on the contrary and to everyone’s surprise, you consented to a demonstration by a deluge of disgruntled protestors to vent their anger and worse still, in mosques.

By so doing you are stoking flames of religious dissension and apparently condoning hard-liner’s stance. Isn’t this a great disservice to Islam? Isn’t this a great disservice to Allah? You have in fact fuelled the fire of religious bigotry.

You are in fact planting the seeds of extremism and discords in young Malaysian minds. Isn’t this diametrically opposed to your rhetoric of 1-Malaysia?

We couldn’t be faulted if we now perceive you as irresponsibly opening that flood-gate of self-destruction.

Were you totally oblivious of the far reaching ramifications of your action? Were you not aware of encouraging intimidation and violence as means to resolve religious differences in our truly plural society? Perhaps you weren’t. That’s bad news for 1-Malaysia.

Finally, who are you really afraid of? Are we to understand that you are after all afraid of the party that you now lead? Are you really in control? Didn’t Pak Lah have all the good intention of putting the two decades of Tun M’s misdoings and failed for the same reason?

Are we witnessing a failing 1-Malaysia Mr PM?

HOW SPORT CAN STRENGTHEN UP RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN RACES

the establishment lotus F1 team 1 malaysia is suitable for our nation, with has many races as been said by prime minister malaysia out of 1 malaysia concept.
lotus F1 team 1 malaysia is not only own by several individual, but also own by all malaysian citizen .In establishment of this team ,the 1 malaysia spirit with is"people first, performance now" has became its princip.
the ministry of youth and youth and sport, has voice out,it's opinion to combine all the sport under 1 malaysia theme. The combination of such sport also help the offices from difference races, who conduct the sport can work together and make the process to be more effective.
Furthermore, recognizing the sports based on races should be a abolished from primary school itself,so,the wont be any racial emotion.Where the student think that certain sports only for particular races only .In places with has difference races the society should be ancouraged to join sport activities. For example, the malay should be encouraged to play basketball, meanwhile, the chinese and indian should be encouraged to play "sepak takraw" but this, only can happen if all of them all ready familiar with such activities from primary school itself.Making every malaysian student to join at least one sport for the country, could develop a succesful citizen, both academicly and sport wise, and also could strengthen the relationship between races, this is idea of our education ministry.
the government also built "people sport arena",which has been the new hot place for youth of various races to spend their free time.Hopefully, this "people sport arena"will reduces social problems, created by youth and also strengthen up the inter racial relationship.
sport could be an effective medium for people from all the races to do common activities among then, and get to know each other better.
It also had been proven that sport can be youth to create patriotisme among our society and build national integration.
It is very sad that nowadays we have to recognize sports based on race, for example,we hardly see chinese in playing soccer. In 1970's,malaysia was a powerful football team in asia, there were many races in the team in comparison to the present team.

ONE MALAYSIA = ONE ISRAEL??

Before the Prime Minister of Malaysia announced the concept of One Malaysia, the State of Israel has been doing so in 1980 launched a campaign with One Israel.

It is very surprising, clear similarities in terms of words and numbers is also very accurate use.

a little info about 1Israel:

One concept was announced by Israel Yitzhak Yitzhaky on October 14, 1980 as the attention of the people of Israel for the elections to be held in 1999. The concept of One Israel declared as showing a combination of three main parties, namely Israel Labor, Gesher and Memad.FOR MORE DETAIL

However, no conspiracy theories that can be linked between Malaysia and Israel in introducing this concept. Whether it another chance after the Vision 2020 is up to the reader research.
Malaysia Concept One and One Israel extent we interpret this as another chance.
whether all this just coincidence or whether it was planned??
one question to think not to answer..
I represent the people of Malaysia who are working no matter what other Malaysia always peaceful with the diversity of people who have.

How principles of solidarity and social justice, nationhood

In producing human capital is devoted to country, respect the cultural sensitivites of other people, avoid words or actions speak extreme nature and priority of interaction and association, so community leaders themselves need to be "Role Model" taht can be exemplified. Role of leaders is to create understanding and unity in society. Therefore, leaders must be responsible to correct the perceptions about racial issues with the underlying spirit of unity will be able to appreciate and lifestyle community.

If viewed in the concept 1Malaysia, cultural accuracy necessary to achieve develop nation status as the ones in the Vision 2020. For example, leaders must be timely if involved in the conference involving the two countries or different races. If cultural is not applied to other communities will consider the concept 1Malaysia exists only to cover the eyes of people outside of society Malaysia.

Puan Sri Prof Dr Rohaty Mohd Majzub,UKM said, state Malaysia is an example to countries around the world about the concept of unity. Without unity I think we will not live in peace and harmony as they do now without any interference or war. The nearest example, the education system in implemented with a co-national curriculum for each school.

Besides that, Muhammad Hisham Mohamad from Social Research Institute of Islamic Understanding Malaysia(IKIM) said the development would be easy if the community is concerned about unity and solidarity. Development will be stronger if mutual trust exists between one another without coercion. This in because, the union can produce spirit of cooperation, the next administration to expedite the process goodness and prosperity to the people of interest together.

1 malaysia in sports

with 1 malaysia theme, the ministry of teenagers and sport want to combine all sort of sport association in the order of that theme. One of the government objectives was to make sure the initial of their officer from this combination get improve in all the way to success.

But the organization that forms from a race also make an important role in a few side. The commitment’s union in some races and sports development have give more challenging actions in the participation at national level that involves all people in this country.

Are there any misunderstanding or negative impact in all sport events that have a background of races. For people that have a right perspectives of sport, the athletes have never competes with racist hatred. They always get a fair play in all sport events. 1 malaysia theme that growing in their heart will always give them a full support.

Generally, Malaysian can be proud with local company that organized 1 malaysia F1 team sdn bhd at next year F1`race tournament. The objective of this team is very accurate with success customisation from Malaysian outside such as being told by prime minister in 1 malaysia theme. The lotus F1 team is a representatives by all Malaysian. The phrase ‘’ people first, achievement important’’ has being the basic of their organization.

At last year sea games, the swimmers, divers, hurdlers, badminton squad football team and others athlete have giving a great performance with the spirit of 1 malaysia in teamworks, dedications, hardworks, and their personal sacrifices.

In accordance to the 1 malaysia theme, the Ministry of Youth and Sport is calling for multi-etnic players in all games of sport. It is a tall order because some games have a long history of having a single ethnic players. Misunderstanding might erupts between players due to the lack of confident towards players of different etnic might also influence the players to play as a team. Generally, Malaysian can be proud that a local company is willing to organize a 1 Malaysia F1 team next year F1 race tournament. The objective of this team is to answer the call for 1 Malaysia which is ‘’ People First, Performance Now’ delibrated by Malaysian Prime Minister, Dato' Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak on September 16, 2008 Last year Sea Games, we had witnessed Malaysian athletes performed successfully in all sort of games in the spirit of 1 Malaysia. In every team game, we can see players of multi-etnic players. They had shown teamworks, dedications, hardworks and personal sacrifices.

the malaysian society

Malaysia is a unique country with diverse of culture and races.that make Malaysia has strived to make its name known to the world stage.Chinese,Malays,Indian and other minority races as complement to unite multiple races under the same roof. Besides that,it is a prove that Malaysia as a multicultural society whereby different ethinic groups can retains and practices their subcultures. The concept of 1Malaysia are being introduced that brings together the society as a one union regardless their races and ethnicity to achieve one common objective. The concept is seen to bring about abundant benefits to the society, mainly foster national unity and enhances economic growth in the society. However,it still has it own weekness as some group have different perception in the concept and thus refuse the acknowledge the benefits profited instead they see the concept as empowering the influence of certain races.

School is a place where the seeds of patriotisme are being planted among youngsters through certain subject such history, civics and social studies in the formal curriculum.Besides that, the way of school organization altered the student mind with patriotisme spirits influenced the mind setting about unity in Malaysia.
In order of that, the 1Malaysia concept objectively encourages the participation of different races into non academic activities especially sports and recreation.Sports are the perfect tool in bringing the society together as without even thinking about races,we shout together as 1Malaysian to support our team in battle in order to achieve a single goal.On special event such as festivals,it did bring the people together in many races to celebrate a festival happily regardless of races. For example Hari Raya Aidilfitri is celebrated by Muslim.However,non-Muslim such Chinese and Indian can be seen celebrating too with visiting some of their Muslim friend by attending the open house. Thus, the goal of 1Malaysia is observed as success as national unity is achieve.

Although the concept of 1Malaysia has bring about abundant benefits to society,it is still far from perfect as it empowers the influence of particular race.In political field, there has been a streotype to have a power control and authority on a races. the other races are given the opportunity to engage in political fields as well as assisting in the government associations but there's only a small percentages of them. The concept of 1 Malaysia objectively on the value of social union and cooperation in between different races fails to develop in political views. Many corruption and money laundry cases are being identified of these people with power and authority and most of them have similar races. Yet,there is no legal action taken by the government and eventhough there is,it just trying to make all people blind in their activity. In addition, the concept of 1Malaysia urges the other races in accepting the special rights by one particular race in Malaysia. in this cases, the concept are failed as in bringing the races together, members are to accept each others differences and special rights without any doubts, even if the particular races stand above other races in all way taking the government benefits.

In conclusion, the concept of 1Malaysia is considered success in bring the Malaysia in harmony society.

Making 1 Malaysia through Education

Education is important not just for acquiring new knowledge but also as a tool for unity and nation building. But does our education system in Malaysia helps our nation to unite? Or do we make our people to become more polarised, divided and segregated?
Country all around the world adopting only one type of school in their country, but here in Malaysia we have 5 types of schools which are chinese school, indian school, religious school, international school and national school. Sending children based on race & religion background will not help our nation to achieve unity.
One school system is important because it used national language as a medium of communication, medium of developing life and style and also medium for getting knowledge. By having everyone communite and think in national language we can eradicate any suspicious against other people who speak in other language, we are more easy to live with them, eat with them and mingle with them.
National language is important. National language define who we are. Living in national language can create a nation with a unique identity different with other nation. By speaking and living in national language we can immediately know that this people come from Malaysia, not from China, India or Arab.
Don’t look down on your own national language. National language can be a knowledge language, a ritual language, a commerce language, a law language and also a technology language. Look at China, France, Germany and Russia, they use their own national language and yet they are the major power on earth.
One system of education is also in line with the new ‘One Malaysia, People First, Performance Now’ concept. To built one Malaysia we need to only have one language, one school so that eventually people are only known as Malaysian, not based on their race or religion.
However our current system of schooling makes us more Arabs, more Chinese, more Indian rather than becoming more Malaysian. Single school system was the only way to check racial polarisation. With single school system we can curb chauvinism and religious extrimism.
Our country is a mosaic of different cultures, if we as Malaysians want to stand united, compromises have to be made on all sides. Every race and every believers has to make small sacrifices to help building Malaysia. Diversity needs to be control to achieve our national goal, if it is not, it will be a greatest curse rather than a greatest asset to the nation.
Some will think that this speech is racist, this is not racist. Racist is one who always fight for the right of his own race notwithstandng it will create injustices to other race. This is nationalism, a way to build nation state, to build One Malaysia, to build Bangsa Malaysia. By having one Bangsa Malaysia who speaks in one language and learn in one school, then only we can achieve equality in Malaysia.

The Concept 1Malaysia

1Malaysia is a concept to foster unity amongst the multi-ethnic rakyat of Malaysia, substantiated by key values that every Malaysian should observe. The approach is not independent of the Government’s policies thus far, instead it complements them to further reinforce our solidarity in order to guarantee stability towards achieving higher growth and development for Malaysia and her people. This means that 1Malaysia is a formula conceptualised as a precondition in ensuring the aspirations of the country to secure a developed status by 2020 are met, if it is inculcated in the minds of the Rakyat and practiced by the entire community. If the idea of "Bangsa Malaysia" which was engendered through Vision 2020 becomes the final destination, then 1Malaysia is the roadmap that guides us towards that destination. This definition is built upon the argument that in order achieve the status of a developed nation in the predetermined time frame, the key requisite is a strong and stable country, which can only be achieved when its people stand united.

Unity as envisioned through the 1Malaysia concept varies greatly from the assimilation concept practiced in other countries where the ethnic identities are wiped out and replaced with one homogeneous national identity. It is also clearly distinct from the opposition’s concept of Malaysian Malaysia. 1Malaysia does not deviate from the spirit of our Federal Constitution as the law of the state, written or implied. In fact, the 1Malaysia concept remains faithful to the core provisions within the Federal Constitution, such as Articles 3, 4, 152, and 153, as well as Parts 2 and 3. Therefore, noone should fear or cast aspersions that the concept the concept will deviate from what has been agreed upon by our founding fathers.

It is a distinct step above that of mere tolerance.

The foundation for all this is the principle of justice for all, which means that the welfare of all Malaysians will be looked after, leaving noone behind. Such justice must take into account the varying levels of development of each ethnic community. Hence, government policies and provisions in the Constitution that protect the interests of disadvantaged groups will continue to be implemented.

1Malaysia will continue the agenda of nation-building. To achieve growth for the nation, the Rakyat must be the first to be developed, which must begin by instilling a sense of acceptance amongst races, and therefore undivided solidarity. When solidarity is achieved, the task of nation-building can truly and smoothly be carried out.

The 1Malaysia formula is conceptualised for implementation in two main aspects. The first is through the assimilation of the Principles of Unity, while the second aspect is the assimilation of Aspirational Values.

The Principles of Unity are the three items I had earlier detailed; the first, "acceptance" amongst all races and peoples of Malaysia; the second, nationalistic principles built upon the Federal Constitution and the Rukun Negara; and thirdly, social justice. These Principles are supported by wholesome values that must be inculcated as part of Malaysian culture, including values such as mutual respect, Tawaddhu', humility and astuteness in forming decisions and actions.

Hi guys! What do you think about the title? Do you agree with it? Is Malaysia always in your heart? Obviously we love our country because we live happily peacefully here in a multi-racial country. I'm proud to beMalaysian!

The 1Malaysia slogan was created on 3rd. of April by our Prime Minister, Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak. It is totally different from the 'Malaysian Malaysia' slogan proposed by the Democratic Action Party (DAP) a long time ago.

The 'One Malaysia' slogan proposes that we stand, think and act as the citizen of Malaysia who are sensitive to the needs of every ethnic group in our country. The slogan also proposes that the needs of the people will firstly be attended and that achievement is our priority' ("Rakyat Didahulukan,Pencapaian Diutamakan")
